Baker frontman and Emerica pro Andrew Reynolds is in editing mode for the Baker video due out this Summer. In fact, he’s so far ahead, Andrew has already got a jump start on filming for other videos.
This past weekend, Emerica pros Erik Ellington, Kevin “Spanky” Long, Bryan Herman and am Braydon Szafranski skated in the Baker demo at Skatelab in Simi Valley, California.
Trick after trick were thrown down, which definitely amped up the crowd. Afterward, Erik, Spanky and Bryan went skating at a high school nearby, where Leo Romero met up with them. Some tricks went down that you will be seeing in the Baker video. There’s another Baker signing this Saturday, May 7, 2:00 p.m. at 2 Felons Skate Shop in Whittier, California. Don’t miss it.
East Coast powerhouse and Emerica pro Aaron Suski stopped by the Emerica offices this week. He’s out here to skate some SoCal spots and visit friends. Suskiwoo and the rest of the Birdhouse team will put on a demo for the Grand Opening of the new Active Ride Shop in Orange, California this Saturday, May 7 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Be sure to go check it out and say hi to Suski!
The premiere of the Weenabago Projekt video was last night in Huntington Beach. This is an independent video that Emerica pro Tosh Townend made happen, along with some friends, including Christian McCue, who edited it.
There was a session at the Huntington skatepark next door that Tosh had lined up right before the premiere. Emerica pros Ed Templeton, Leo Romero and Bryan Herman were there schrapling around with Tosh. After the sesh, everyone headed to the auditorium of the high school for the premiere.
Speaking of Ed, he was a guest speaker at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota last week. The theatre was sold out and packed with skaters and art fans alike. Kids kept asking Ed questions like, "Do you hang out with Reynolds?” and “Is Tosh a big guy?" among the regular questions about Ed’s artwork.
Emerica pro Austin Stephens has been spending his time hanging out and skating in Long Beach and the LA vicinity. Austin is also working on an interview for Skateboarder magazine, so keep your eyes peeled for that one.
Skating, surfing, and spending time with the family has been Emerica pro Chris Senn’s regimen lately. He is enjoying the weather in Hawaii, where he now lives.
Emerica am Matt Allen has been skating and chillin’ in Redlands, where he now resides. Matt has also been skating in Long Beach and the Inland Empire, filming for yet another Foundation video that’s in the works.
Up-and-coming Emerica am Brandon Westgate has been skating around Massachusetts, where he lives. Brandon has also been going to New York on the weekends to film for his part in the upcoming 5boro video.
