Greetings from Canada! We are just about finished with the Emerica So’Wester Tour. Erik Ellington, Heath Kirchart, Kevin “Spanky” Long, Bryan Herman and Leo Romero were all on board for this tour, as well as Emerica Canadian team pros Glen Suggit and Josh Evin, and let’s just say it’s been an epic time!

We started off in Calgary, where we were hassled by the immigration agents about our purpose in Canada. After getting into the country, we made our way to our hotel and were unpleasantly greeted with a rainstorm. It rained the entire two days we were in Calgary, so there wasn’t a whole lot of skating going on. We did do two shop signings on Friday, June 3—one at Skaters SW and one at Mission in Kensington. There were some very stoked Kids there.

We did an Emerica demo at The Source Skatepark, which was indoors, luckily. The place was packed and the team got the crowd stoked with their annihilation of the park. Directly from the demo, we drove an hour-and-a-half North to Red Deer. Heading into town, we were at a stop light when a car of skaters pulled up beside us and told us about a party that night.

We decided to go, and it turned out to be at the house of the drummer of ’80s hair band, Whitesnake. It was crazy! This house could have easily been on MTV’s Cribs, it was so insane. The next day, we did a demo at the skatepark in Red Deer and, luckily, the weather gods smiled on us and spared us rain.

After the demo, there was a signing at the park, then we drove an hour-and-a-half to Edmonton, where we chilled for a couple of days. Andrew Reynolds met up with us in Edmonton just in time for a demo at Millwood Skatepark. The So’Wester Tour wraps up on Thursday, June 9 at Cassleman-Lush Skatepark in Ft. McMurray, Alberta from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Emerica pro Tosh Townend is heading out on a month-long Element tour this month, hitting up some stops at Zumiez stores around the country.

Congratulations to Toy Machine’s Good & Evil for winning Best Video of the Year at the annual TransWorld Awards this past Friday. Emerica pros Ed Templeton and Austin Stephens put together really good parts for the vid, and if you don’t already own a copy, go out and buy it.

Austin is on a WE Clothing tour right now, heading up the West Coast to Portland, Oregon. He will join Heath, Herman and Spanky next week in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for the start of the Emerica Harley-Davidson Tour in which they will ride their new Harleys out to Philly for the massive Wild In The Streets event on Go Skateboarding Day, June 21. Look for more details on the Emerica Harley-Davidson Tour soon.

Emerica am Braydon Szafranski is filming every moment he can to finish up his part for the Baker video. Andrew, Erik, Herman, Spanky and Braydon have been filming for while now, and it’s just about done, so get ready for the release later this Summer.

Also on tour at the moment, Emerica pro Aaron Suski is on the road with Volcom clothing right now, driving around the country in an RV. Check out Volcom for the tour dates.

Emerica pro Chris Senn is hanging out at home in Hawaii with his family in between international trips. He just returned home from Seoul, South Korea, where he took 1st place in Street at the Asian X Games. Senn Dog will be heading over to Europe soon for all the usual Summer bowl contests going on over there.
