Emerica pros Andrew Reynolds and Bryan Herman got extreme at the X Games last week in Los Angeles, with a 5th and 6th place respectively. Congratulations to both!
Emerica pro Heath Kirchart has been hitting up spots around LA and staying busy fixing up his Harley after a long road trip this Summer.
It’s birthday week here at Emerica, as non-X Gamer Kevin “Spanky” Long celebrated his 21st on August 6. Happy birthday, Kevin! And today, August 9, is (was) Emerica pro Erik Ellington’s birthday. We here at Emerica would like to wish them both happy ones!
If you see Spanky or Erik at the Baker premiere, wish them a belated merry one, as well. They’ll appreciate the well-wishings. For your info, Erik is also expecting his first baby, Julius Luther, sometime next month.
Emerica pro Ed Templeton is still on the road to recovery. No, not from alcoholism. He is rehabilitating the knee that he injured a while back. In the meantime, Ed’s been staying busy working on a new art book and getting ready for a couple of art shows coming up in Europe.
Emerica pro Tosh Townend is getting wild for the next week or two with the Element team on Thrasher’s King of the Road Tour.
Emerica pro Leo Romero was out skating and filming in the Valley over the weekend. He woke up with a mysterious pain in his arm yesterday, so he went to get it checked out at the hospital because it was really swollen.
It turns out he got an infection from a bug bite and it was going up a vein in his arm. It’s a good thing Leo went to the hospital, because it could have been really serious. Leo came into the office today looking a little groggy from the medication, but he’s doing all right.
Emerica pro Aaron Suski is chillin’ at home Tucson, Arizona, hanging out with friends and relaxing a little bit in between all of the traveling he has going on this Summer. Suskiwoo hits the road again next week for a couple of Birdhouse demos in SoCal, and then it’s up North to Vancouver, Canada for Slam City Jam at the end of the month.
Emerica pro Austin Stephens has been out skating every day and is gathering up a good amount of footage and photos. Austin is working on something with The Skateboard Mag, so keep a lookout for that.
Emerica am Matt Allen just got home from a quick trip up to NorCal to skate with fellow Foundation team riders Corey Duffel and Mike Rusczyk. Matt has been skating around Long Beach since he’s been back.
Emerica pro Chris Senn has been enjoying life in Hawaii. He will also be heading up to Slam City Jam at the end of the month.
Emerica am Braydon Szafranski was at the X Games cheering on Herman and Andrew. Braydon is continuing to get footage even though the Baker video is done. Maybe he doesn’t know it’s done? Just kidding.
New Emerica am Brandon Westgate flew out to Cali this week to hang out with the rest of the Emerica team. Brandon will be out here for 10 days skating all around the LA area. Be sure to say hi to him at the Baker premiere.
