Baker Skateboards’ long-awaited Baker 3 video premiered last night at The Vine Theater in Hollywood, California to a throng of anxious Kids, some of whom camped out overnight in front of the theatre to try to get a wristband to get in! The crowd that had been hanging out and waiting all day grew bigger, and once they started letting people into the theater, it got a bit crazy. A window got broken out and the police were on hand to “calm things down,” but most of the crowd eventually got in to see the first showing.
The energy was at a high level and the crowd screamed and cheered the whole way through the vid. Emerica pros Andrew Reynolds, Erik Ellington, Kevin “Spanky” Long, Bryan Herman, and am Braydon Szafranski, along with the rest of the Baker team, put together really amazing parts, and there are a lot of amusing shots in between. This video is raw and unconventional, which is what makes it so great to watch.
The second showing, for Very Important People, was full of pros and industry heads. This was also a high energy level situation, and the video got the whole room cheering and screaming again. Once everyone had witnessed the destruction that went down in the vid, the afterparty at Cinespace went off. All in all, I have to say that Baker 3 is one video that will be watched over and over and enjoyed for years to come! Thanks to everyone at Baker for everything.
