Rummaging through the Sponsor Me vids this month, I came across this one from Nate Guest from Maui, Hawaii. I popped the tape into the VCR and was stoked to see him ripping! Nate looks pretty young, so I was surprised to see that he has a really good style for his age. He also lives in Hawaii, so he doesn’t have the luxury of being able to travel around very far to skate a lot of spots. Nate skates some pretty rugged places, which is probably because there aren’t very many spots on Maui. Sometimes, you just have to take what you can get. Nate has a good balance of tricks in his vid, as we watch him skating rails, gaps, ledges and manuals pads. The only criticism I have is that Nate skates a little slow. That’s something that will improve as he grows and stays in the game a little longer. I can definitely see potential in Nate’s skating.
