Get your ’80s jones on with our Miami-inspired collection, and push the envelope of ’80s excess with the most pastel colors you can imagine. Assemble the collection with the Emerica Ridgemont slip-on shoe, the Vice City jacket (or the Testarosa zip hood), the Ocean Drive polo shirt (or the Miami T-shirt), the Billboard pink wristband and the Rico cap.

We here at Emerica would like to congratulate team riders Bryan Herman and Leo Romero for both being nominated for the TransWorld Rookie of the Year Award, the spot currently held...
Summertime is getting closer, which means it time for some Emerica tours! On Thursday, June 2, Erik Ellington, Heath Kirchart, Kevin “Spanky” Long and Bryan Herman will head up to Canada for the So’Wester Tour. Andrew Reynolds and Leo Romero will join the tour later on.
Speaking of Drew, he’s still busy as a bee editing the Baker video. He also spent last week hanging out with his mom, who was in town visiting from Florida.
Life has been busy for Emerica pro Erik Ellington. He is simultaneously finishing up an interview for Thrasher magazine, filming for the Baker video, and remodeling his house. Erik squeeezed in a little time today to rent a movie and hang out with his mom, who, like Drew’s mom, is also in town visiting.

Note: This contest is being held by Active Ride Shop and IFILM, not Emerica.
Active Ride Shop and IFILM are excited to launch the very first Emerican Idol, an online competition to find the best amateur skateboarder! Amateur skaters from across the U.S. will submit their films, which will be posted on IFILM, and fans and pro skaters will vote each week for their favorites.

One winner will be named the Emerican Idol and will receive a Grand Prize, which will include product from Emerica, Baker and Krew. The winner may also be invited to select key events in Southern California to meet and hang with top pro skaters and a chance to enter the Am Contest.
Winning entries will be celebrated and featured on IFILM as examples of some of the top up and coming amateur skaters to watch for. Your first step to a career in professional skateboarding just got easier.
The search for America’s top amateur skateboarder began on May 1, 2005 and ends on August 1, 2005. Top entries will be posted on IFILM and the winners will be announced on September 1, 2005. Enter here.
Emerica pro Andrew Reynolds is probably at his computer as you read this, editing the upcoming Baker video. Andrew has already finished his part, and let me tell you, it’s a doozy!

It’s coming up in less than a month!
For one day, skateboarders will take over the world! Imagine 20 million-plus skateboarders all riding at the same time! That will be the scene on the first day of Summer, June 21...also known as Go Skateboarding Day. Above all else, it’s a day for skateboarders to forget about school, work or other responsibilities and just skate. It’s also an opportunity for those who’ve never been on a skateboard to grab a friend and join in.

The first annual Go Skateboarding Day last June caught on quicker than anyone imagined. Skateboarders held events throughout the Americas, Europe, Australia and Japan. Some of those events included backyard jams, skatepark sessions and impromptu street missions.
Last year was just the beginning of the grind heard around the world. This year, Go Skateboarding Day is going to be even bigger and more exciting, so go to your local skate shop to find out about events in your area, or visit IASC.
Now’s the time for number eight in our ongoing series of Emerica Blab interviews in which you, the ever-loyal Kids, get to ask your favorite Emerica team rider that burning question you’ve always wanted to know.

This month’s subject is Emerica pro Bryan Herman—true skateboarder to the core. Without further ado, get your bad self into the Blabs section and ask away. Before you ask anything, however, be sure to read Herm’s bio and interview first! Also, please keep your questions short and to the point.
The Last Blast!
