It's time again for another Sponsor Me Video Review! This month’s video is from Daniel Roberts. Daniel has a lot of footage, almost too much. When you make a sponsor me video, you need to remember that the Team Manager who will be watching it sees a ton of videos all the time. You want to make sure your part is short and sweet with only your best footage so it will stand out. Daniel’s video is just over four minutes, which is way too long. You should shoot for no more than two minutes.
I saw some good skating in Daniel’s video, but there was some stuff that could have been left out that would have made it more exciting. I know that sometimes you land a trick that you’re stoked on, but it may have been slow, sketchy or not up to par with what today’s ams would do on the same obstacle. Even though you like it, it may be good to leave it out.
Another thing to remember when editing your video is if you have multiple clips of the same trick at different spots, pick the best one, don’t use them all. I’m not trying to take away from Daniel’s skating, you can see that he rips. The long running time just wasn’t that exciting for me to watch. Thanks for sending in your footage, Daniel, you just snagged yourself a free pair of Emerica shoes! Keep those videos coming.--Jeff Henderson
