Last week, Andrew Reynolds, Heath Kirchart, Ed Templeton, Kevin “Spanky” Long, Bryan Herman, Leo Romero, Emerica filmer Jon Miner, Brand Marketing Manager Timothy Nickloff, Team Manager Jet Ski and Altamont's Justin Regan went to an indoor go-cart racing track for a little friendly team competition. After a few practice laps and qualifying races, Miner came out on top and took home a sweet first place trophy, with Herman and Spanky hot on his heels in second and third, respectively. Heath Kirchart has been on a mission to get footage for his part in the upcoming Alien Workshop video. He’s been filming some seriously gnarly tricks, but is laid up a little bit at the moment due to a bad slam. Rest assured, however, that Heath’s part will be Amazing with a capital A! Kevin “Spanky” Long was supposed to go on the Baker tour, but injured his knee and had to have minor surgery. Spanky will be back on his board in about a month. Lately, he’s been hosting Guitar Hero video game sessions at his pad. Get well soon, Spanky! Ed Templeton is hanging out at home in Huntington Beach, getting ready for his Invasive Embrace art show in Sydney, Australia on February 7-10. Austin Stephens will be accompanying Ed down to Australia for the event. New Emerica am Marquis Preston and Matt Allen just got home from the annual Tampa Am contest. Although Marquis or Matt didn’t qualify, they nailed it all weekend in practice. Marquis also threw down some sweet maneuvers in the Best Trick contest, including a kickflip crooks down the big rail.
