The word got out and spread quickly. Emerica was sponsoring a best trick session at our local skatepark, Los Reyes, on Go Skateboarding Day, June 21, 2007. Although it is Winter down here in Chile, the day was beautiful, and around 200 kids showed up to skate and hang out at the park. We'd place a pair of shoes, say, under a rail, invite skaters to attack it, then 10 minutes later, a winner would be selected by the cheers of all the skaters attending. This went on for around an hour. Four pairs of shoes later, the best tricks were over, we had four happy winners, and a ton of kids at the park enjoyed a chilly Winter afternoon of skateboarding.
