  7. i don't get the whole point....wouldn't vegans be happier knowing that parts of the animals weren't wasted? even if emerica went 100% vegan...people would still be eating hamburgers, wearing purfume, and buying kodak film.

isn't it better to use all the parts of the animal if people are just going to slice them up anyways? oh well it's not my problem. i'll think of you all next time im macking a fat juicy burger or carving up my thanksgiving turkey.

  8. and another thing....i don't get why people get all environmental about saving animals when the same people are riding wooden skateboards that are destroying forests. writing on paper, wiping your ass, everything you do it somehow not good. i know ed templeton isn't riding his bike to art shows, his car is burning fuel and polluting and those oil refineries are fucking up the earth. why is that ok but not wearing an animal product?

i don't have anything against vegans or environmentalists or w/e....but if your gonna do it you need to do it 100%

Lumber companies replant several trees for every one they cut down.

  11. right but you cut down 200 and plant 200...those new 200 take 20 years to get big...probably even longer than that. it's not exactly replacing what we take away.

No, companies that harvest Canadian maple plant several trees for each one they cut down, and they don't clear cut, so there is still forest left.

  15. emerican19 - so you are saying if you pollute a little, you should just go ahead and pollute a lot? If you kill a few animals, you should just not even bother and try to kill as many as you can? Their lives aren't perfect, but vegetarians and vegans are just trying to help the environment/animals a little at a time.

Thanks for the vegan shoes, Emerica!

  16. dude, had an amazing time at TP 07. the bacon hovering on my screen is HILARIOUS! don't stop...i've been vegetarian for the last 5 years. awareness with humility is much needed!! eat what you want, your future will show you the results of your actions...

  17. true thing is: the meat industry earns a lot of money by selling leather as a "waste-product".

it's the best thing to help the environment where you can: don't drive your car too often, eat less meat, don't take the plane and so on...

thanks emerica for helping us vegans wear some nice shoes!

  18. thx Emerica! Being vegetarian is a simple thing to help improve the world, and then you move on to the next thing, and the next... i will be buying from emerica to encourage a new standard for cruelty-free living. I wore Rowley's forever, but am dropping that $hit that like a bad habit if he's suddenly ok with leather

  23. THANKS Emerica! These AR Slims are badass. Hopefully this will be one step closer to the whole company being cruelty free! That'd be a first!

To those hating on veganism: Try to see it from both sides of the spectrum. I've been a meat eater most of my life and recently became vegan over a year ago. It's better to "try" to make a difference than be a defeatist. Plus, hate is just baggage. So wtf have you done to make a difference? haha

  27. Thank you Emerica for providing this vegan some kicks he can feel less guilty skating in. Next step - go 100% vegan with your line and use fair-trade shops for production (based on the assumption you currently don't). Other companies will follow suit when they see the following you're creating, which is better for all of us.

A note to the haters: THINK. For fuck's sake. Open your minds. Cruelty-free products and a plant-based diet make sense on so many levels. Get your head out of your ass and realize that the world and it's inhabitants are not for your personal reckless consumption. Coexist and simplify. You'll be happier you did.

  28. if you support products and companies that have vegan products thats less demand on animal based products which are unnecessary, and is bad for the enviroment your health and the wealth of other nations, there earth can sustain everyone to be on a meat based diet. check out the movie earthlings check out fork over knife, what about protein? check out veganbodybuilder.com read the china study, dont be an ass i dont wanna rock shoes made from animals get over it dude
