We’ve sent you packin’ over to Wikipedia, the Free Encyclopedia, before via a few subtle little links. Now check out what they have to say about Emerica.
Guess what the UPS driver dropped off in my office today? That’s right, four brand-Spanky-new glimmering complete Baker Skateboards! Look at them laying there in all their glory: The official shred sleds of Erik Ellington, Andrew Reynolds, Bryan Herman and Kevin "Spanky" Long.
One of these pups—plus a copy of the upcoming Baker vid and one pair of Emerica shoes of your choice*—can be yours by winning this simple little contest. Don’t delay, as we will close up shop on this major online event on August 12, 2005.
*That are available on our site.

It’s been talked about for so long now, and soon it will become reality. We’re talking about the long-awaited Baker video, of course, which is set to premiere on August 10 in Hollywood. Emerica pros Andrew Reynolds, Erik Ellington, Kevin “Spanky” Long, Bryan Herman and am Braydon Szafranski are out skating together and filming the last tricks for the video, and Andrew, of course, has been hard at work at the editing console. After getting a sneak peak of a bit of the video, I can tell you that the wait will be well worth it! We’ll keep you posted on exactly when and where it will premiere.

Check out this sweet lil’ bit o’ footie of Emerica pro Leo Romero et al at that big ol’ phat Snickers World Championship of Skateboarding contest that went down in Rotterdam, Holland a few "days" back.
While you’re at it, the next time you see him, you should congratulate Leo on his fine 7th place showing! Can’t get enough of Leo? Scope this tight-ass interview from way back in 2003. That should tide you over until the full team report, coming tomorrow.
If you haven’t checked out the More section lately, now is the time to do it, as we’ve "recently" added in some Web Site Reviews on VA Fleezers and Flikr, a Sponsor Me Video Review...
Emerica pro Kevin "Spanky" Long designed his new namesake pro model shoe, the KSL 1, not only with heavy skating in mind, but also a little ’80s retro b-ball styling thrown in for good measure.
Kevin wanted a cupsole shoe with slightly thinner padding, but with the superior heel and joint protection of our System G2™ gel insert, plus some personalized details, like the argyle print on the footbed—which matches fine Emerica Apparel items such as the Rushmore hoodie, Freshman sweater, Argyle T-shirt, Trust Fund beanie, Frat Pledge cap and Rich Kids socks—and two detail stripes on the side of the shoe. As they say down in the hood, "When it’s the KSL 1 you’re a-rockin’, all the honeys will be jockin’." Buy a pair today at a skate shop near you.
