Emerica flow rider Marisa dal Santo has been making a name for herself as one of the top female skaters out there right now. She has continually skated girls’ contests at a level that could compete with the guys. Today, she won the gold medal in the Women's Skateboard Street event at X Games 13 and also put a nice chunk of change in her pocket.
Throwing a kickflip down the double set first try, a backside flip down the four-block, a gap to lip, a frontside 50-50 and a frontside boardslide down the the double set gap-to-rail were just a few of the tricks she nailed. Marisa also turned 20 years old today, so happy birthday and congratulations. What a birthday present!
Congratulations to Emerica flow rider David Loy for getting seventh place in the Street event at the World Cup Skateboarding contest over in Rotterdam, Holland last weekend. David also scored this big ol' pic in Holland's second-largest newspaper, de Volkskrant. Sweet stuff.
P.S. What the hell is all that gibberish printed on the newspaper? Them Dutchies need to learn some English! Just kidding.
