I saw this movie when I first started skating in 1976. It made such a huge impression on my 13 year old mind. Starring Stacy Peralta, a top pro of the time, the film tells the story of how he quit his job in a restaurant to go on a skate tour though Australia. Along the way, Stacy encounters many other skaters and spots, which, in hindsight, makes a nice time capsule of a bygone era when skateboarding was still new and fresh. Stacy went on to launch the Bones Brigade, one of the best and most influential teams of the '80s. He also filmed the first-ever skate video, The Bones Brigade Video Show, in 1984, which kickstarted a whole new aspect of the sport. Needless to say, Stacy has been a huge influence on the world of skateboarding.
