Collin Provost’s third shoe – slim vulc feel meets G6 Plus cushioning for all-terrain assault
The Provider is Collin Provost’s third signature shoe with Emerica, and it perfectly captures Collin’s style both on and off the board: minimalistic in design, but packed with all the tech and durability necessary for serious skating. If you’ve ever watched Collin skate, you know he’s all about pushing the limits with technical tricks and massive drops. With the Provider, he set out to create a shoe that would perform in every environment without sacrificing the classic vulcanized feel he loves.
Tech-Forward Design
At first glance, the Provider is sleek and simple – a low-profile silhouette with clean lines and subtle branding. But dig deeper and you’ll find a skate shoe built for versatility and performance. It’s the first Emerica model to feature the G6 Plus drop-in footbed – a next-generation polyurethane insole that’s lighter, high-rebound, and equally impact-resistant as the classic G6, providing exceptional protection when you’re landing big. This tech, paired with an internal EVA layer, ensures that the Provider handles tough landings without compromising boardfeel, making it perfect for everything from technical street skating to big transition hits.
Skateable Design Features
True to Collin’s minimalistic yet functional design philosophy, the Provider features higher-lacing positioning near the instep, away from the toe, which significantly reduces lace breakage during flip tricks. Skaters will appreciate how this also creates a more slip-on feel – with a solid one-piece vamp across the forefoot that ensures smooth flicks and eliminates the hassle of constant relacing. Despite its sleek look, the shoe is built tough with double-stitched ollie areas and reinforced eyestays, ensuring it holds up to heavy skate sessions.
The Right Tread for Control
For the outsole, Emerica implemented the Triangle Tread pattern, giving you the grip you need for every type of skateboarding. Collin’s input helped shape the tread depth to be lower-profile, maximizing boardfeel for better control while carving pools or bombing hills. At the same time, double-wrap vulc foxing around the sidewalls adds durability and stability, so you can skate fast without worrying about blowouts or losing control.
A True All-Rounder
The Provider strikes the perfect balance between Collin’s love for classic vulcanized boards and the need for more support and protection in modern skateboarding. It’s nimble enough for technical street tricks, yet protective enough for the biggest gaps and ramps, making it a true all-rounder. Tested in every skate environment by Collin himself, the Provider is the ideal shoe for skaters who want the best of both worlds – classic boardfeel with modern cushioning.
I've had these shoes for 4 years now in full black, even the sole and I absolutely loved them to death, literally. I'm a big walker and live in a city center, so I walked hole in to the right shoe around the ball of my foot. My legs have a bit of a length difference, so my right foot shoes tend to get a bit more wear on the sole, but never have I used a shoe so much that I got a hole in the sole and that is saying something. I'm a big shoe person, but haven't the felt the need to buy new ones after I got these even though I used to by new sneakers every few months.. Really comfortable, sleek and versatile. Only complaint I have that I could have fixed myself is that the laces are bit long and tend to open because of that, but I have narrow feet so that' why a lot of the lace is also left over. Even though mine we're black suede they stayed looking really nice and black, even though I've worn them in all kinds of weather conditions. I did put a water and dirt repelling spray on them when I got them, but that's all the care I have done for these. They haven't really needed anything else. Just all around awesome shoes and good for skating too, my favourites even though I haven't skated much lately-
Felt like the worst skate shoe ever but after breaking them in they are awesome! I thought the rubber insole would mean less board feel but is great. It's tough and durable too. Will definitely buy it again.
Where do I start? Look good, built durable and tough, last pretty damn long. No other choice but to run them over with the car a couple times to break them. if you get for casual/occasional instead of skating... You'll be set, so throw out those old shoes.Your feet will thank you. in(tight on MY right, pinky knuckle/toe) but I have a medium/wider foot. My first pair originally 4-5yrs ago, I still have those same exact insoles and theyve been used in over 7 other pairs of skate shoes. Which is what made me want a 2nd pair. Old insoles are still in perfect condition(literally) and I still dont feel it when landing primo. You guys NAILED IT with them insoles.
Good shoes, love em!! i think the dark grey is darker than the picture but i prefer it that way, nearly black really
Been skating these over and over since they came out. Favorite shoe ever
Amazing shoes! These are my absolute favorite shoes for skating and everyday use. I've been a long-time fan of Emerica shoes for skateboarding for over a decade now. The last year or so I've skated 3 different models, but usually chill in vans, or another brand. But these Providers are the sickest shoes I've had in YEARS! The style is exactly what I like, & these things perform perfect for skating. Very good grip, boardfeel, has a very nice flick. And BY FAR, one of the most durable shoes out right now- especially for being a simple vulc shoe! I'm so hyped that these skate the way they do with so much comfort & support, but manage to have such a clean simple look to them. I have been skating my first pair going on 3 weeks now, & love them so much I just ordered 2 more pairs 1 black,& 1 navy colorway so I can have a new pair to skate and another pair to wear to work, & chill in.
