The OG-1 is a time capsule from the late ’90s, bringing back a timeless Emerica silhouette for today’s skaters who crave that era’s style and toughness. Originally loved for its rugged build and classic aesthetic, the reissued OG-1 stays true to the form that made it an iconic part of Emerica’s history, but with a few modern upgrades to ensure it handles today’s demanding skateboarding.
Built for Durability:
The OG-1 features a full rubber cupsole that can take a beating. It’s been called “bulletproof” for a reason: this thick rubber outsole is designed to survive endless sessions of street and park skating, while the internal EVA midsole provides all-day comfort and impact protection. Whether you’re landing hard or grinding rough surfaces, the OG-1 keeps your feet protected and comfortable.
Tough Upper with Added Comfort:
True to the original design, the OG-1 combines durable suede with breathable mesh panels, offering a great balance of longevity and ventilation while you skate. The triple-stitched reinforcement around the toe and ollie area ensures that these areas hold up longer than most skate shoes, so you can focus on skating rather than worrying about blowouts.

I have skated accels for decades and have tried plenty of others in that time as well, but nothing seemed to be able to really challenge the accel. I had never tried the MJs/ OG1 in all those, but finally got a pair earlier this year. Since trying them I can comfortably say the accel is at least sharing the number one spot now if not stepping down. These are just simply a truly great shoe. I have since gotten another pair and plan on grabbing more.
PLEASE DON’T STOP MAKING THESE!!

Shoes are awesome! Toe cap seems tighter than on my skateshop day og1s, no need to size up on these for me. Colors are great!

Love the shoes, colorways are sick… but terrible the decision to “modernize the shoe” and changing the toe cap to a bullet shape… it crunches your toes… I had to size up from 13 to 14 (see comparison on black and with shoes) you changed the material on the ankle area and now it pushes your toe forward… switch to first iteration of of the shoe add good quality insoles you have the perfect shoe.
I have bought over 20 pairs combined of every colorway you have re issues… I can give you a detail list of all the little changes you have made to the shoe from the MJ To the weird awkwardly shaped and fitting shoe that is is today… but you are ruining it… why change the toe cap WHY?
